School Meals
Primary School Information
Primary pupils at Blanche Nevile School access the catering facilities provided by Highgate Primary School and enjoy a range of healthy meal options throughout the school day. Pupils from both schools share their lunch and breaktimes. They eat in the dining centre which has been acoustically treated to reduce noise. Blanche Nevile staff supervise pupils at all times.

- We teach high quality cookery lessons
- To generate a passion for good food
Free School Meals
Free school meals give eligible students a daily allowance to use in the school canteen.
The Department for Education gives extra funding to schools for every child that is entitled to free school meals. This pupil premium funding is used by the school to provide extra teaching and learning resources.
We may have students in school who are eligible for free school meals but have not applied before. We would like to help our families get the support they are entitled to and for the school to get the extra pupil premium funding.

Secondary School Information
Secondary School Meals
Secondary pupils at Blanche Nevile School access the catering facilities at Fortismere School and enjoy a range of healthy meal options throughout the school day.
Fortismere has two canteens on site: the North Wing canteen, serving Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students, and the South Wing canteen, serving Key Stage 3 students. There is also a café area within the Sixth Form block offering drinks and snacks for students in Years 12 and 13. The canteens are open to students at break and lunchtime.
Our students use the North Wing canteen, which is the closest dining facility to the Blanche Nevile secondary site. To support a calm and positive dining experience, Blanche Nevile pupils are permitted to leave for lunch slightly earlier than the main Fortismere student population. This provides a quieter environment in which to purchase and enjoy their lunch before the canteen becomes busier, helping pupils feel comfortable, settled and ready for the afternoon ahead.
Catering at Fortismere is provided by Harrison Catering Services, who offer a varied menu designed to provide nutritious, balanced meals and snacks throughout the day.
We work closely with Fortismere and Harrison Catering Services to ensure that the needs of our pupils are met, including supporting any specific dietary, medical or accessibility requirements.
